Our Team

With decades of experience and a proven track record, our international team of consultants is dedicated to helping countries and institutions navigate the complexities of the Net Zero Transition. We actively contribute to shaping Carbon Pricing Instruments, striving for both environmental sustainability and economic progress.

Miguel is an experienced executive with years of international leadership in energy, climate, and environment industries. He has effectively managed operations across Europe, Latin America, USA, and China, gaining valuable global exposure. With a passion for innovation and business development, Miguel has supported corporations and governments in developing countries to achieve sustainable growth.

Laura is a conservation social scientist who focuses on the human aspects of environmental, sustainability, and climate change issues. Her main areas of expertise include natural resource benefit distribution, community engagement, and gender considerations. With a global career, Laura has experience in assessing governance and policies, reviewing institutional strategies, and involving multiple stakeholders.

Juan is an energy and environment specialist with years of expertise in policy, program and project development. He has worked with numerous public and private entities, as well as multilateral organizations. Juan has provided consultancy services to governments and international organizations across Latin America. He currently serves as an associate consultant for the World Bank’s Carbon Market Unit.

Johan Nylander has vast experience in climate policy, climate finance, and carbon pricing. His expertise lies in market-based instruments, including national emissions trading schemes and international carbon markets. He also provides analysis and advice on climate policy, such as nationally determined contributions. Johan works as a senior advisor, assisting governments, multilateral development banks, UN bodies, and the private sector.

A seasoned Coastal-Marine Environmentalist, Andreas specializes in transformative coastal-ocean governance, focusing on blue carbon, regenerative blue economies, and large-scale coastal ecosystem restoration. As co-founder of Blue Carbon Indonesia, he’s led research and initiatives, securing +$12.1 million in grants and collaborating with the World Bank to establish a trust fund. In 2022, Andreas served as Lead Coordinator for the Ocean20 initiative, working with G20 nations to develop sustainable ocean solutions, bridging environmental sustainability and human well-being.

Lorena has extensive experience in the Ecuadorian government, focusing on climate change. She led climate adaptation efforts in indigenous communities and conducted academic research on climate change impacts and related ethical concerns. Her work includes studying the influence of climate policies on indigenous communities and analyzing socio-environmental conflicts arising from increased mining for renewable energy.

Jeremy is a dedicated policy analyst specializing in climate policy, just transition, and carbon pricing. He has leveraged his expertise to offer consultancy services, actively contributing to just transition initiatives in Africa and Asia and the Pacific. Additionally, Jeremy has provided valuable support in implementing carbon pricing instruments in Indonesia, furthering the country’s efforts towards sustainable development.

Augusto has extensive experience in assessing climate finance for mitigation and adaptation. He managed the Carbon Market Commission and coordinated the Low Emission Capacity Building Project in Ecuador. With a strong commitment to sustainable development, he currently directs adaptation and mitigation initiatives through subnational climate change plans. Augusto is also an invited lecturer at Simon Bolivar Andean University in Quito, Ecuador.

As an earth scientist Sarfina loves delving into the energy and technology industries. She has collaborated on developing applications to help data digitalization and visualization in the energy sector. She is really passionate about accelerating Net Zero Emission 2060 in her native Indonesia as well as the just transition in Southeast Asia more broadly.

Katrina is committed to achieving a low-carbon economy with a focus on carbon markets and social equity in developing countries. She has worked in the private sector for more than 6 years and has lived in over 3 countries. She has a master’s in International Development and did a capstone with Ayuda en Accion for their 1Planet4All climate change communication project.

Passionate about driving meaningful change through action and communication, Oliver brings over 20 years of global business expertise to Neyen. As Co-Founder of a social enterprise, he has a track record in ethical business development and creative direction. At Neyen Oliver heads the inFUSE Accelerator program in South East Asia.

Rifqy is an active final-year geology student at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Indonesia, with a strong passion for environmental issues, earth sciences, and their societal impacts—particularly in natural disaster prevention and sustainable development.
