Description: This project provided Technical Assistance to promote more sustainable housing solutions for low-income families in Mexico. This involved a review of energy consumption and emissions of the residential, low-income housing sector (social housing) in Mexico along with identification and mapping of relevant actors and stakeholders in the energy and energy efficiency sector related to social housing. Ultimately, future energy scenarios based on reviewed subsidy and housing programs were developed and used to make a set of policy and program-related recommendations to strengthen housing programs that promote sustainable housing solutions in Mexico and address remaining shortcomings and gaps.
